Israeli youths help Syrians fight winter chills (Christian Science Monitor) After an unusually severe winter storm moved through the Middle East last month, leading to the deaths of 27 Syrian children, Israeli youths decided to extend a hand. The House of Representatives passed the Official Languages Act on Tuesday, 7 January. It is the fruit of ten years’ effort, finally enshrined as a basic right guaranteed by the constitution.
