Remember Eastern Europe’s forgotten poor

When Anastasiya fled war in eastern Ukraine a year ago, she was already poor. Today, she and her children are stranded in a distant town. It’s a dismal place where a 30 year-old mother can seem worn out before her time.

92 year-old Milena also knows that feeling. You’ll find her in a poor village in rural Armenia. A former seamstress, she’s fragile and nearly blind. She doesn’t have a family, and it would be hard to find anyone who’s more alone.

CNEWA is we’re funding clinics in Armenia, Georgia and Ukraine that care for mothers and children. We’re helping deliver social services and counseling, so families and the elderly poor can face another day.

But we’re racing to stay ahead. We need your help to take these struggling souls under our wing, before it’s too late. Reach out through CNEWA, and you’ll offer hope to those who have nothing.
