Catholic Near East magazine was the award-winning publication of CNEWA from 1974 to 2001. Profiling the peoples and places of interest and concern to CNEWA, Catholic Near East began as a quarterly but became a bimonthly in 1993. Known for its lavish use of color, Catholic Near East was renamed CNEWA WORLD on the occasion of the papal agency’s 75th anniversary in 2001.
